Some aspects of the development of wort organic graphics

by artist John Hagan from 'Cowdisley.com'.

'St. John's Wort' is a natural herb that offers calm and peace to those that use

it. We found the word 'wort' was an ancient one meaning 'herb' so we

decided the name was appropiate for a drink that would combine

natural organic ingredients. Hence 'Wort Organic' was born.

Adobe Illustrator provided the program for designing the circle and text.

Lord Leighton painted the 'Lady in Orange' in the 17th. century.

This provided the type of image we were looking for as it combined elements of

naturalness, calm and relaxation.

We experimented with the round and square shapes.

We experimented placing some old decoration within the concentric circles.

Eventually we designed our first label.

....... and a second, perhaps for Japan

Some variations.

For the younger generation the 'Wizard Frog' was deemed more

appropiate for a berry based flavour hence the

new graphic. *Warts* and Frogs do have an ancient past.
